This easy recipe is super speedy and jam-packed full of nutrients! Chia seeds have been consumed for thousands of years, dating back to the ancient Mayans where the world chia translates to “strength”. When mixed with a fluid, chia seeds are well-known for forming a magical gel-like consistency. Chia seeds are the highest plant-based source of omega-3 healthy fats, have more antioxidants than blueberries, more potassium than bananas, more iron than spinach and more calcium than cow’s milk! Just five nutritious reasons to swap sugar for chia!

Raspberry Chia Jam

Equipment

  • Hob

Ingredients

  • 100 g Raspberries frozen
  • 5 g Chia Seeds
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice optional

Instructions

  • Stew raspberries on the hob slowly for about 5-10 minutes until the fruit has broken down.
  • Mix in chia seeds (and lemon juice if using) and simmer for a further 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Store in the fridge.
